you will need to click on "macOS" under the section "Supported Features by Operating System". See the Samsung Magician product page.scroll down near the bottom just before the FAQ section. Unfortunately you did not read the fine print which states features can vary by platform which in the case for macOS the Magician software only has a few working features (I posted a screenshot at the end of this post). Thanks in advance for any insights into these issues. Magician does not show any updates for this FW, but, given the various N/As seen throughout Magician, I’m not sure it would even recognize a new FW version, much less install it.ĭoes anyone have any actual experience using Magician for Mac? Given that it’s relatively new, I’m not finding much at all regarding these issues on the web. I am able to see Drive Details, which shows the Firmware for my 990 Pro 4 TB as 0B2QJXG7. I can’t see the Drive Health, Temperature, Active Time or Performance (which are all marked N/A). ![]() However, under Drive Health, all I get is N/A. I went through the process of adding the extension to the Privacy settings and allowing Samsung Magician access (so this should not be the cause of any issues I am seeing). ![]() ![]() I found that Samsung Magician finally supports Mac, and I downloaded Magician 8.0 from the Samsung website and installed it. My MacBook is running the latest version of Sonoma. I recently purchased an external Samsung 990 Pro 4 TB that I have attached to my MacBook Pro 14” (2023) via the Zike external enclosure.
